Bowled over by the Light Output at the Pavilion

Due for completion in early summer 2013, the redeveloped world-famous Pavilion at Lancashire Country Cricket Club has been fitted with Scolmore Group’s sophisticated Inceptor integrated LED Downlights.

Inceptor was specifically chosen above competitor products because it provides a solution to the issues surrounding restrictive ceiling voids. Inceptor is a high light output, high performance product that can be fitted into a recess depth of just 60mm - making it one of the most flexible fittings currently available. Scolmore has also integrated its popular Flow Connectors into the product, which make it quick and easy to install, as well as to remove and replace for the purpose of circuit testing - another positive when selecting the right products for the job.

John Lawrence from Genlec Electrical Contractorswas responsible for the specification and installation of the products and had this to say: “We wanted to incorporate LED downlights from both an energyefficiency and a low-maintenance point of view and the Inceptor product met with these criteria and more. The light output is excellent and aesthetically the downlights work really well with the modern look that has been created. As well as a five year commercial warranty, the low maintenance factor will save costs in the long run.”

Approximately 240 Inceptor downlights in a variety of finishes have been installed at the new-look Pavilion, which is due to be completed ahead of the Investec Ashes returning to Old Trafford in August and will provide state-of-the-art facilities for LCCC Members. It has retained its original red brick and sandstone facade and iconic turrets, but will undergo a modern overhaul and will be able to accommodate up to 700 guests, utilising eight suites and nine executive boxes.
