Helping Transform an Industrial Suburb

The transformation of the world’s first industrial suburb – Ancoats, Manchester – sees stylish new apartment blocks juxtaposed against historic, listed buildings and all within walking distance of the heart of the city centre. Scolmore has played its part in the final phase of this redevelopment, supplying state of the art products from its wiring accessories collection for the Kennedy Building.

Kennedy Building is a brand new apartment development and part of the Royal Mills scheme - an eclectic mix of historic, listed mills and modern, new apartment buildings, which overlooks the rejuvenated Rochdale canal.

Switches and sockets from Scolmore’s Deco range of decorative wiring accessories in a satin chrome finish are providing a stylish solution throughout the building – in all 48 apartments as well as the communal areas.

Electrical Contractor, Jim Newell, from Sure Connect Systems Ltd was responsible for the installation of Scolmore’s products: “I have been using Scolmore’s wiring accessory products across a whole range of projects over the last 20 years and know that I can rely on the quality of the products and the breadth of the range and be confident of excellent stock levels.”
